About Bartlett, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The City of Bartlett is a large suburb of Memphis, Tennessee, and it is located just northeast of the metro hub. Over 55,000 people call the community home, but fewer than 100 resided here when the Bartlett was officially incorporated in 1866. Previously a part of Shelby County Schools, residents approved a referendum to form an independent school district, and it launched in the fall of 2014. Presently there are six elementary schools, three middle schools, one freshman academy, and a high school within the city limits.
While Bartlett is primarily a residential community, there are still some interesting things to see or do here. There are several historical properties that date back to the 1800s, including the Davies Manor Plantation and the Nicholas Gotten House. The Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center hosts theatrical performances, seminars, and other events, and active residents enjoy a trip to the Bartlett Recreation Center for swimming, racquetball, and access to the running track.
The Bartlett region experiences four distinct seasons that tend to fall fairly true to a calendar. Winters here are short compared to other parts of the U.S., and snowfall is minimal. However, freezing weather conditions coupled with rain and ice can lead to dangerous and hazardous driving. There are many precautions that residents can take to stay warm at home, but a reliable furnace with periodic HVAC technician services are among the best.
Summers in Bartlett also require climate controls but for entirely different reasons. A wet spring will typically lead to a hot and muggy summer. High temperatures often exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, but high humidity levels can make it feel even warmer. Allergens and dust are also heavy in the air during this season, so the right central air conditioner can serve many purposes. Not only will an Energy Star system cool off indoor temperatures at a low cost, but this unit can also improve indoor air quality.
