About Cordova, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Cordova, Tennessee is a community found in Shelby County. It is situated just east of Memphis, and a majority of Cordova was recently annexed by the City of Memphis. In fact, the boundaries of Cordova aren’t completely well understood, but the Old Cordova Area is focused on Sanga and Macon Roads. Cordova is a part of the Shelby County Schools, with older students attending Bartlett High School. Higher educational opportunities are also available in Memphis or in Cordova directly at the Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

There are many Memphis-area attractions that are actually found within Cordova. Visitors who enjoy tasting new brews might like a trip to the Meddlesome Brewing Company, while art enthusiasts may prefer some quiet time at Pinot’s Palette or Pitter Potter Studio. During the cooler spring and autumn months, the VJF Golf Academy is a great place to learn how to play the game. Plus, Cordova is home to some delicious restaurants like Green Bamboo Noodle House and Rafferty’s Cordova.

Climate conditions in Cordova are typical of a humid subtropical climate featuring four distinct seasons. Summers are hot with high humidity, as moisture moves into the region from the Gulf of Mexico. During July and August, high temperatures reach well into the 90s, so an Energy Star central air conditioning system is a wise investment. These units can also improve the quality of indoor air by filtering out allergens, dust, and other harmful substances.

Winters are milder here than much of the U.S., with average daily highs reaching into the 40s and only about three inches of snowfall each year. However, when cold fronts move in from the Great Plains, temperatures can plummet to freezing, and freezing rain is a real possibility. To stay safe and comfortable, residents will want to invest in a reliable furnace system at home, particularly a unit with a good AFUE rating.
