About Eads, TN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The unincorporated community of Eads, Tennessee is located in Shelby County. It was named for James Buchanan Eads, a prominent engineer during the Civil War. Some of Eads has been annexed by Memphis, and the community is located east of the city, northeast of Germantown, and west of Somerville. Most of the community is served by the Shelby County School District, although a private campus of Briarcrest Christian School is also located here.
As a small, quiet community, Eads is primarily residential and doesn’t offer any major attractions. Local restaurants include Morris BBQ and Deli and Rosebriar Dining in the Country, while retail offerings are available at Eads B P Food Mart, The Amish Depot, and Eads Antiques and Interiors. Fortunately, cultural opportunities galore are available in neighboring Memphis, so residents can take advantage of them without giving up the peace and quiet of small-town living.
Eads residents enjoy four distinct seasons throughout the year, including a milder winter than most parts of the U.S. On average, daily highs reach into the mid-40s, although nighttime lows fall into the 30s. Still, cold fronts often move in from the Great Plains, and while snowfall is typically minimal, freezing rain and ice are real concerns. Driving and outdoor conditions become hazardous during these times, so residents are forced to stay indoors. During these storms, Eads locals are thankful to have a reliable gas or electric furnace in place, and seasonal maintenance with an HVAC specialist will ensure the system works properly when required.
Summers and Eads offer a dramatically different experience. Hot temperatures in the 90s are common, and high humidity levels can leave the air feeling muggy and oppressive. Fortunately, technological improvements have made central air conditioning systems more efficient than ever. An investment in an Energy Star system with a high SEER rating can dramatically improve indoor comfort.
